CUMC Services have been suspended through April 26 as recommended by Bishop Bill McAlilly. For additional information, go to UMC General Discussions and view his video and statements. Rev. Ben Day will deliver a sermon via live streaming the next few Sundays in order to fill in during that time period. You may view the sermons live or recorded via this web page under CUMC Live Broadcast.
A Message from Pastor Ben Day:
To all the friends and family of CUMC: Please be aware that the pastor and church leadership team are praying for you daily and seeking innovative ways to keep us connected in these challenging times of our temporary, “new normal.” This is proving to be times where we are learning how to connect from a distance and be better prepared to serve now and in the future.
Ministry still continues with our food distribution and other avenues while other institutions have been forced to close their doors. This is due to the grace of God, your prayers and financial support, especially in the online giving. This ensures the immediate availability of funds to maintain ministry to our community in these trying times.
You can set up a one time or recurring offering at: https://give.givingkiosk.com/App/Giving/cumc (The Green Donate App Box adjacent, on the right, to this message)
This is no different than making an online purchase with a Visa, or Mastercard etc., but your financial gifts can also be sent to 335 West Green Hill Rd. McMinnville, Tn. 37110
Grace and Peace
Pastor Ben Day
Centertown United Methodist Church
With open hearts, we believe that living a life inspired by God’s love compels us to offer help, hope, and healing to those looking for more meaning in their lives.
With open minds, we believe God’s grace is available to all people, no matter where you are from, what you look like, or what you have done.
With open doors, we believe in welcoming others into our lives, but also in taking action outside the walls of the church to serve our neighbors, next door and around the world.
We offer inviting and inspiring worship.
We are engaged disciples in mission and outreach projects
We have inspired clergy leadership
We offer access to small group ministries
We have strong children’s and youth ministry programs.
Centertown UMC is not just a place where people spend an hour on Sunday. We think about ‘church’ as a verb instead of a noun! Come, join us. You will be welcomed with opened arms.
