If you’re unfamiliar with us, we’d like to make you feel more at ease.
So here are the answers to some common questions that we are asked by those visiting for the first time:
What time should I be there?
We have coffee, sometimes sweet rolls etc., starting at 9:30 and we’d love to visit with you a bit before Sunday School begins at 10AM. There are classes available for every age.
If you’re just coming for the worship service, it starts at 11:00. We suggest you arrive 5 to 10 minutes early in order to get situated. We also know that sometimes life happens. When life happens and you are running a little behind, don’t worry about it. Always feel free to join us, many people slip in and sit in the back if they’re running late. If you’re a few minutes late, you won’t be the only one!
I don’t want to be an oddball, so what should I wear?
We have a wide range of attire at our church, we are a laid back community of faith. Some people dress very casually, with jeans, t-shirts, or polos. Some of the young adults may be wearing shorts in the warm weather months, while others prefer a typical business causal. A few may even wear a tie. Ladies wear pants/dresses/skirts & blouses, shorts.
We don’t really care what you wear as long as you’re decent and, most importantly, comfortable.
What should I expect in a worship service?
We have a blended worship service. We respect, enjoy, and sing some traditional hymns and choir numbers along with the more contemporary music of today. The praise band varies their arrangements, but they often include piano, guitar, and drums in their worship. The words to all the songs and the pastor’s scripture for the sermon will be up on the screen for you to follow along.
Services are spirit filled and lively with a nice balance between the upbeat and reverent.
What about my kids?
Children are an absolute treasure, and that is why during all our services there are options available for children of all ages. We offer Sunday school classes for nursery, preschool, all school ages, and adults. . We do have a short “children’s church” message every Sunday morning as a part of our worship service.
If the kids do get a little too rowdy or just can’t seem to get settled, there is a “cry room” just outside the sanctuary. The room is equipped so you can still hear the sermon. But, we’re very accustomed to having lots of children in the church, and a little noise from the kids just reminds us how blessed we are to have them there. So, don’t feel like you have to keep your children quiet as a mouse the whole time!
