BaSE and Safe Sanctuary Training Date Up-dated

The Boundaries and Sexual Ethics (BaSE), and Safe Sanctuary classes scheduled for April 24 and 25 have been moved to an online/zoom delivery. If you have not already completed these courses, then all persons newly appointed and those who are to be licensed, commissioned, or being transferred into the Tennessee or Memphis conferences must take these foundational 8 hour courses. Each of these courses has two components. First, there is an online portion that must be completed prior to April 24 (BaSE) or April 25(Safe Sanctuary), then a mandatory zoom discussion on those dates. Completion of both components is mandatory in order for you to get credit for these classes. You must register no later than April 15, 2020. Register in the normal manner, on the conference websites. Once you are registered, you will receive detailed instructions from the Office of Leadership Formation and Development on your pre-work requirements and due dates.

Inclusiveness training scheduled for April is cancelled.  Those who have already registered will receive a refund. The requirement that our first time pastors and candidates for licensed or ordained ministry complete this course prior to licensing, commissioning, or being transferred into the Tennessee and Memphis Conferences is being waived until this training can be delivered in a healthy and safe manner.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Be blessed and stay safe!
